“Why do we need to cleanse our liver? Well, the answer is simple. Over time, due to the foods we eat and other factors, our liver becomes congested with stones. These stones are commonly referred to as gallstones. Though they are called gallstones, they actually begin in the liver. The stones fill the liver first. Once full, the excess develops in the gallbladder. We call them gallstones because that’s the organ in which we first feel their presence.
The two types of stones are cholesterol stones and pigment stones. Cholesterol stones are usually yellow-green and are made primarily of hardened cholesterol. They account for about 80 percent of gallstones. Pigment stones are small, dark stones made of bilirubin. Stones can be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a golf ball. The liver and gallbladder can develop just one large stone, or hundreds of tiny stones. Liver and gall bladder congestion is the most important factor involved with all diseases of the human body. Liver congestion is caused by toxic buildup, making it impossible for the liver to effectively do its job of detoxifying or cleaning the bloodstream. When the liver is filled with stones, but still tries to expel the poisons, the job shifts to the kidneys.
As mentioned, a toxic liver is a factor in all disease since it is the purifying station of the body. Therefore, cleansing the liver and gallbladder can help alleviate all diseases. “ – Jelaila Starr (booklet)
